What age is your program directed to? Who should sign up?

Learn to Defend Yourself - 15+

Complementary Skills - All ages

Hockey players of all skill levels.  Anyone looking to improve their game and gain confidence in their contact skills.  Those aiming to play (or currently are playing) junior hockey, where there can be a six year age gap.  Players leaving a boys game en route to a men's game.  Pro hockey players, or those who have aspirations of playing pro some day.

Is this a safe training course?  Will body-checking be thrown at high speeds? Is anyone "sparring" or punching one another?

My program is taught and trained with a focus on safety.  Contact drills are practiced at 50-70% force.  Defending yourself on ice with a realistic representation, without taking any damage.  Helmets & mouth-guards will be worn at all times.  Focusing on theory, strategy and physical tactics, that will prepare you and add confidence to your game.

Is this program only for Enforcers and "Goons?"

First off, I don't like the word "Goons" (and could do without them in the game) due to their lack of hockey skills.  This program is for every hockey player looking to round out their game and add that missing tool to their toolbox.  But also sharpen some of their tools they already posses.  With a focus on these added skills in your repertoire, I believe it will add a level of safety, preparedness and confidence to your game, in numerous areas.
